When I turned 40, 2 years ago, after having my second baby, I was determined to find a way to design my life so that:

  • I can have more control over what I am doing, and when I am doing it
  • I can work doing something I absolutely love
  • I can make more than enough money

And then I thought, wait a minute, I did design my own life 15 years ago where I had all of the above! I was a full time nomadic travel writer and English teacher for 2.5 years. However, I was 26, single with no responsibility.

My life is totally different now. I have a full-time job and a family with 2 small toddlers. Though it doesn’t change the fact that I did it then, and I can do it again, and I don’t have to quit my job and move to another country to do it.

Over the last two years, I have done many courses; talks, and some coaching in search of ways to build my work around my life. With the experience I have, and the evolution of web3, I keep coming back to the same thing:

Building in the creator economy can change our lives by allowing us to design the kind of life we want. It can help us build our work around our life, rather than the other way around.

If I’m willing to put myself and what I know out there, the web can help me build something I love and make a living from it; heck, maybe I will even build an empire from it. (It’s free to dream!)

I don’t have it all figured out, but what I have figured out, lights me up.

I have read so many case-studies of mums running successful 6-figure / 7-figure businesses in the creator economy, there is no reason we can’t too. We have to give it a shot.

If this lights you up too, first you need to know:

  • What is the creator economy
  • How it can change your life
  • Is it for you?

And, incase you were wondering, being a ‘creator’ in the creator economy does not mean being an ‘influencer’. You do not need a big audience to begin.

I’ve put together a small guide that will help answer these questions.

You can download it here.

If this is something that resonates with you, I would love to know.

Wishing you an amazing week.
